On
The Day of WTID:
- Doors
will open at 8:00 a.m. Parking lot and on-street parking will
be available. There is no advantage to arriving early at WTID.
- Candidates
registered by March 31 may proceed directly to the Pre-registration
check-in tables (located in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center).
A name badge will be given to you at that time.
- If
you have not pre-registered, you must proceed to the Commons
area to do so. The on-site registration fee is $25.00.
- The
format for WTID will be arena style, with school administrators
sitting at tables. Introduce yourself and present your resume
to him/her.
- Some
districts will offer large group "seminars" on the selection
process. Plan to attend one or more of these informative 60-minute
sessions.
- Utilize
the time between meetings to review literature, complete application
materials and re-evaluate your goals for the day.
After the Fair (Follow-up Phase)
- Write
thank you notes to each district representative with whom you were
interested. Thank him/her for the opportunity to meet with him
and offer to provide additional information and possibly come
to the district for another interview.
- Follow-up
on all promises made with employers (credential files, transcripts,
etc.)
- Take
time to evaluate what you have learned from the WTID experience.
- Complete
the WTID Candidate Evaluation Form and return it as directed.
Your feedback is very important for planning future WTID's.

Advising
Center:
Short,
last minute questions about interviewing, resumes, thank you notes,
etc. will be handled by the staff advisors.
Information
Center: The
headquarters for WTID. Staff will be available to answer questions
for candidates and employers here.
