Between
now and WERF:
1.
Read through the WERF information on the web site and compile a
folder of items you will need to bring to WERF.
2. Practice interviewing and talking about teaching. Make sure that
you can answer the following questions in a professional way that
communicates who you are as an educator and as a person. It may
be helpful to write out brief answers to these questions so that
you have an abbreviated "script" to practice with.
Describe
your teaching style.
What is your philosophy of teaching/education?
What can you contribute to the school system?
Why would you be a successful teacher?
What have you learned from your teaching experiences (practicums,
etc.)?
What courses/subjects are you competent/qualified to teach?
What do you want to be doing 5 or 10 years from now?
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Why do you want to teach?
(See
the EPCS K-12 Jobs Search Interviewing section for more interviewing tips)

need to fill out applications for the interviewing school districts.
5. Prepare a TENTATIVE personal interview and a form thank-you note
that you can draw on during WERF.
