WECAN Logo What is WECAN:
WECAN is a unique full-featured, internet hiring environment for K-12 Wisconsin schools and a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) contracted Professional Development Plan (PDP) platform for K-12 re-licensure.  WECAN is a nonprofit venture supported by fees from school employers set to cover expenses.

Who is WECAN:
WECAN was created by a collaboration of Wisconsin school employers, teacher training colleges and teachers working through Wisconsin Association of School Personnel Administrators (WASPA).  WECAN is managed and maintained by the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

On January 30, 2017 a newly, redesigned WECAN will be released. The current version of WECAN will be retired on January 26, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. Login to WECAN or access to any data or documents after this time will not be possible.

Due to changes in technology, candidates will be required to establish new accounts in the redesigned version of WECAN.

Candidates who currently have accounts may copy their content and documents from the current WECAN version and save them electronically to ease the completion of the new profile, application and answers to questions when the redesigned version opens on January 30, 2017.

After 5:00 p.m. on January 26, 2017, candidates will no longer be able to access data or documents found in their current WECAN accounts.
