What is WECAN:
WECAN is a unique full-featured, internet hiring environment for K-12 Wisconsin schools and a Wisconsin Department
of Public Instruction (DPI) contracted Professional Development Plan (PDP) platform for K-12 re-licensure.
WECAN is a nonprofit venture supported by fees from school employers set to cover expenses.
Who is WECAN:
WECAN was created by a collaboration of Wisconsin school employers, teacher training colleges and teachers
working through Wisconsin Association of School Personnel Administrators (WASPA). WECAN is managed and
maintained by the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
The redesigned WECAN Online Application system will be accessible to Employers and Applicants at 12, noon, on Monday, January 30, 2017.
There will be one login page for ALL users. There will be one applicant account/login which will provide access to both Certified and Support staff vacancies with the opportunity to apply for both types of positions.
All applicants will complete one Profile. The Standard Application and the Standard Questions for Certified and Support staff are different and must be completed prior to applying for a specific position.
