On
The Day of WTID:
PLEASE NOTE:
Due to additional events taking place at Lincoln High School on April 4, parking
will be limited to the South Parking Lot only. The entrance to LHS will be
through the South entrance doors of the Performing Arts Center.
Thank you for your cooperation!
- Doors
will open at 8:00 a.m. There is no advantage to arriving early at WTID.
-
Candidates that have pre-registered may proceed directly to the Pre-registration
check-in tables (located in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center).
A name badge will be given to you at that time.
- If
you have not pre-registered, you must proceed to the Commons
area to do so. The on-site registration fee is $25.00.
- The
format for WTID will be arena style, with school administrators
sitting at tables. Introduce yourself and present your resume
to him/her.
- Some
districts will offer large group "seminars" on the selection
process. Plan to attend one or more of these informative 60-minute
sessions.
- Utilize
the time between meetings to review literature, complete application
materials and re-evaluate your goals for the day.
After the Fair (Follow-up Phase)
- Write
thank you notes to each district representative with whom you were
interested. Thank him/her for the opportunity to meet with him
and offer to provide additional information and possibly come
to the district for another interview.
- Follow-up
on all promises made with employers (credential files, transcripts,
etc.)
- Take
time to evaluate what you have learned from the WTID experience.
- Complete
the WTID Candidate Evaluation Form and return it as directed.
Your feedback is very important for planning future WTID's.
